Design of a compact and versatile radiation heater with an additively manufactured Nb radiation shield for UHV high-temperature sample preparation

چکیده

A compact, ultrahigh vacuum, radiative heater based on pyrolytic boron nitride that efficiently directs nearly all of its radiation to the sample was designed and constructed. It is shown reaches temperatures 1300 K experimentally at 60% maximum power. COMSOL Multiphysics® simulation an analytical model predict ultimate temperature up 1500 K. Furthermore, does not introduce any contamination sample. This accomplished by a custom-made Nb shield, which manufactured selective laser melting holds flag-style holder. Before manufacturing, whole assembly simulated with Multiphysics validate design shield.
